It’s winter over in the UK so we won’t be pulling off a garden party anytime soon. But this is such a lovely idea that you can re-theme it as you please – it’s about recycling tin cans and glamming plastic cutlery to add a bit of sparkle to the party table. Such clever ideas that are so easy and simple to do!

Cutlery holder – decorated tin cans

I kept a couple of tin cans from the recycling bin and wrapped beautiful ladybird gift paper around them. To add more to the party spirit I tied a strip of ribbon about them and strung cut-outs around the top rim using garden twine. The cuts were made using Martha Steward’s shape punches. They are incredibly handy and are a must for any crafty soul!

Sparkling cutlery

The tin cans were filled with plastic cutlery. I stuck self adhesive rhinestones to the cutlery handles – these gems stuck tightly and have lasted a couple of washes already. Use this idea to bring some sparkle to a princess party…
